It was the eve of my birthday when my husband decided to have some Japanese delicacy to refresh my last year birthday celebration memories in Japan. And as a sushi lover, Edo Ichi is one of the best options.

Talking about the décor of the restaurant, it’s a well-decorated cozy restaurant with comfortable sitting arrangements. The restaurant is not very big but they have partitioned it very conveniently exactly like they do in Japan. It is a bit crowded if you visit there during lunchtime i.e. 12-2 pm & dinner i.e. 7-9 pm. The staff there were quite active to offer us a seat despite the decent crowd in the restaurant. The menu was offered to us as soon as we grab a seat & order was served pretty soon too, within 5-7 mins.

Edo Ichi has a giant menu with a range of options of salad, sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki, teriyaki, hot pot, grilled items to deep-fried items. The offerings were so tempting that Initially I was confused thinking what to order. Then after complete ten minutes, we got settled with some nice dishes. First, we were served with Californa maki (RM18.40) which was covered with tones of salmon Roe which bursts with delicacy inside our mouth. & it comes with good quantity (8 pieces) as well to share within 2-3 people.

CALIFORNIA MAKI (RM 18.40)

We ordered some different types of mentai aburi which was partially grilled on the top and partially raw. I liked California maki more over mentai aburi.

SHAKE MENTAI ABURI YAKI SUSHI(MIDDLE)
EBI MENTAI ABURI YAKI SUSHI(RIGHT)

Then comes the most satisfying showstopper of the entire meal i.e salmon mentai (RM 25.40). This was absolutely worth the money and tastes heavenly delicious when the lemon is squeezed on top of it. It was perfectly grilled & presented.

SALMON MENTAI YAKI (RM25.40)

Seafood Kimchi yakisoba (RM 28.30) was served Smokey hot & it was absolutely up to my expectations. Yakisoba noodles are actually made of wheat flour and typically flavored with oyster sauce. It has a good quantity of squid and prawns. It was a little tangy and spicy which I don’t mind at all. 🙂

KIMUCHI YAKI SOBA (RM28.30)

Do check out their desserts as they have plenty of mouth tempting options on their menu. We were full and had no space left in our tummy for desserts after stuffing so much. Next time I will definitely make sure to keep some space left to have those desserts at the end of my meal.

Overall I was quite satisfied with their presentation, ambiance, food options & the quality & most importantly with their quick service.
